The SBM 1200 is the most powerful machine of the SBM family. Because of the increased load capacities provided with this machine, 4 Hydraulic Thrust Cylinders are used as Guide Columns. These Columns are in direct line with the Spindle. Pilot or reaming thrust is reacted directly through the pivot point of the machine to assure stability at any drill angle and any thrust load.
This means reduced bending moment, greater stability and less deviation of the pilot hole collaring point when you are drilling and reaming inclined raises. This aligment also reduces wear and stress on structural members, Spindle and Drill String components.
