Currently there are 19 raise bore machines in our fleet, operating in South America, North America and Africa. With over 200 years of raise bore experience and over 150,000 feet raised, Stu Blattner Inc. has perfected their drilling program saving time and money with their clients over the conventional methods. We cater to our customers offering such services as “low profile” machines.  We also have worked with special requests such as developing the “Y” system, where we pull one raise out of another.

Predominately our equipment is used in mining ventilation shafts, ore passages or manways, along with hydroelectric projects for the use of drilling large diameter holes.  We have a capacity of drilling from 11 inch to 16.4 feet in diameter and 400 meters in length. In certain situations, we have been able to drill 500 meters depending on the rock conditions.

In addition to raise bore contracting, we also manufacture raise bore machines, reaming heads and cutters. This puts us in a unique situation of supplying ourselves with the equipment needed for a job.
